The logic gates presented in the module include AND, OR, NOR, NAND and inverters. It is in this module that the student learns the CAT 5e vs. CAT 6 cabling lesson principles of direct coupling, transformer coupling, and capacitive coupling. Filter circuit such as low pass, high pass, band pass and band stop filters are presented emphasizing practical design and troubleshooting considerations. An introduction to Bode plots and active filters is also covered in this module. This module will build on previous topics by presenting an introduction to resonance in series and parallel circuits.
